Jeppesen Signs Five-Year Electronic Charting Service Contract with Aeroflot Russian Airlines
A new five-year service agreement provides long-time Jeppesen customer Aeroflot with multiple digital charting navigation services

Jeppesen has negotiated a five-year digital charting navigation service renewal agreement with Aeroflot, the national carrier of Russia, to provide e-Link, electronic flight bag (EFB), weather and NOTAM services and OpsData aircraft performance analysis solutions for the airline.
A valued Jeppesen customer for nearly 40 years, Aeroflot continues its transition from paper to digital navigation information solutions through the agreement. Aeroflot is a user of portable Jeppesen EFB Class 1 applications and the Web-based e-Link charting service, which is presented in a Windows operating environment.
“Jeppesen helps us to smoothly make the transition from paper-based information to electronic services that can be fully integrated across our company,” said Anatoly Yakimchuk, director, Aeroflot Flight Operations Department. “The combination of digital EFB and e-Link charting allows Aeroflot to process data more efficiently. And, we hope that what we implement today will be part of a long term electronic information management strategy.”
The Jeppesen OpsData solution included in the agreement provides Aeroflot with analysis of takeoff and landing performance and tailored airport departure procedures. This analysis allows Aeroflot to maximize aircraft payload and comply with regulatory requirements. Additionally, digital weather and NOTAM information provides the airline with timely flight-critical data.

Aeroflot was founded by the Russian government in 1923 and today carries more than 10 million passengers. Aeroflot operates flights to 95 destinations in 46 countries (28 destinations in Russia). Aeroflot was the first Russian carrier to be included in IATA’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Registry. In 2009 the company also obtained the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) certification. Aeroflot is fully ISO 9000 safety credited.
