Jeppesen, a part of Boeing Digital Aviation, and Pacific Coast Avionics now offer Jeppesen’s industry-leading NavData and charting information in bundled service options. Jeppesen data is now available for Garmin, Avidyne, Dynon Avionics and Aspen Avionics units for general aviation pilots, through the new bundled service agreement with Pacific Coast Avionics, a leading provider of avionics, pilot supplies and aircraft services.
The Pacific Coast Avionics bundled service options provide Jeppesen’s industry-leading data, including NavData, JeppView charting, Jeppesen obstacle, terrain and cultural information and eCharts for Multi-Function Display (MFD). Garmin GTN PilotPak bundle plans with Jeppesen data are also now available through Pacific Coast Avionics. Jeppesen avionics data provides enhanced situational awareness in the cockpit to increase operational efficiency and reduce overall workload for general aviation pilots.
“Data integration flexibility provides our customers with Jeppesen navigation and charting information on the avionics platform that works best for individual pilot needs,” said Dewey Conroy, vice president, Pacific Coast Avionics. “Working together with Jeppesen assures our customers that they are flying with the top flight data available, through a bundled service approach that simplifies access to critical data and improves the general aviation flying experience.”
Pacific Coast Avionics customers are now able to select from numerous options to meet their needs throughout the entire process for supply of Jeppesen data, from the research to purchase phases. Jeppesen database updates are also simplified for Pacific Coast Avionics customers, providing additional value for bundled data service purchases.
“General aviation pilots have many top avionics options to choose from when selecting the platform that best suits their individual needs,” said David Wright, director, Jeppesen General Aviation Client Management. “Through agreements with leading avionics suppliers like Pacific Coast Avionics, we are able to provide our trusted navigation and charting data that is delivered through the preferred avionics system of the pilot in a one-stop-shop setting.”
Jeppesen NavData is developed from a comprehensive aviation database, which is composed of more than one million records. To ensure accuracy, Jeppesen flight information analysts edit and verify approximately 150,000 database transactions generated from worldwide aviation data source documents during every 28-day revision cycle.
