Boeing and Transavia France Collaborate to Enhance Crew Management Efficiency
- Boeing’s Jeppesen is delivering advanced Crew Pairing and Crew Rostering solutions to Transavia France
- Transavia France is Jeppesen’s first customer to implement Crew Rostering SaaS entirely through a cloud-based infrastructure
Transavia France has begun implementing Boeing’s Jeppesen Crew Pairing (JCP) and Crew Rostering (JCR) solutions as Software as a Service (SaaS), making Transavia France the first Jeppesen customer to implement Crew Rostering SaaS entirely through a cloud-based infrastructure, from configuration to client tests and into production.
Transavia France’s implementation has transitioned from a highly manual rostering process to a more efficient optimizer, resulting in significant improvements in operational efficiency. The new system has notably reduced rostering times and provided greater flexibility and adaptability in crew management.
“Our decision to partner with Jeppesen reflects our commitment to leveraging innovative technology to enhance our operations,” said Lucas Paichard, Head of Crewing Departement at Transavia France. “After implementing these solutions, we have experienced improvements in crew bid satisfaction, fairness and fatigue in work distribution and a better legality coverage, and reported a significant enhancement in credit hours balancing.”
Jeppesen’s suite of crew solutions leverage an industry-leading optimization engine to construct productive and balanced crew rosters by considering complex factors such as legal requirements, training, crew availability, crew preferences, reserves and other critical factors. The powerful optimizers allow for faster roster construction, closer to the day of operation, which support greater operational stability and opportunities to capture additional revenue.
“This collaboration with Transavia France underscores our commitment to delivering innovative digital solutions that drive operational excellence,” said Brad Surak, Vice President of Boeing’s Digital Aviation Solutions and CEO of Jeppesen. “By implementing our Crew Rostering SaaS, Transavia France is not only enhancing their crew management efficiency but also setting a new standard in the industry for flexibility and responsiveness in crew planning.”
