Danish Air Transport, a leading regional airline based in Denmark, recently gained authorization from the Danish Transport Authority to operate with Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro as its mobile electronic flight bag (EFB) solution. Jeppesen, a part of Boeing Digital Aviation, provides Danish Air Transport with FliteDeck Pro for Windows to increase operational efficiency.

“With Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro, we have achieved a significant advancement in our transition to a paperless operating environment through this authorization,” said Jesper Rungholm, president and CEO, Danish Air Transport. “FliteDeck Pro helps reduce workload for our pilots, increases situational awareness and establishes a more efficient operating environment.”

Danish Air Transport uses both installed and mobile EFB platforms in its operations to access critical flight information more efficiently. Primary data display for Danish Air Transport pilots is provided through navAero units and Panasonic tablets integrated with the AvioBook EFB suite application. Supplemental data is accessed through iPad by the airline.

“We congratulate Danish Air Transport on their regulatory authorization granted from the Danish Transport Authority for EFB operations,” said Tim Huegel, director, Jeppesen Aviation Portfolio Management. “Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro works seamlessly across multiple EFB delivery platforms fleet-wide to maximize operational efficiency. We look forward to continuing efforts with Danish Air Transport as they proceed with their digital transformation.”

Danish Air Transport and Jeppesen recently agreed to a three-year charting and electronic flight bag (EFB) service contract to establish Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro in its operations. FliteDeck Pro helps to eliminate use of paper-based flight information materials, which reduces fuel consumption, streamlines operations and increases situational awareness.
