Global Aerospace Logistics, LLC, the Abu Dhabi-based provider of leading aerospace services and Jeppesen, a part of Boeing Commercial Aviation Services, have teamed to optimize air mobility and tanker operations for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Air Force and Air Defence, through a new service agreement.

Global Aerospace Logistics will integrate the Jeppesen Operations Solution (JOS) and MilPlanner military flight planning program as an industry leading Command & Control (C2) system for their International Movements Operations Center (IMOC). The IMOC will be responsible for the efficient command and control of all global tanker and air mobility operations for the UAE Air Force and Air Defence.

“Integrating Jeppesen capabilities with the IMOC will increase the efficiency of air mobility operations and ensure that they are flying with the top military flight information available,” said Brigadier General (Retired) Dr. Hassan Yousef Al Awadhi, Chief Executive Officer, Global Aerospace Logistics. “Working together, we will help deliver critical data and operational command solutions to achieve successful missions for the UAE Air Force and Air Defence.”

The Jeppesen Operations Solution, developed in partnership with Tapestry Solutions, also a Boeing Company, will seamlessly integrate within the IMOC to manage tanker and air mobility operations by maximizing the efficient use of personnel and aircraft. Jeppesen MilPlanner will provide critical military flight planning and navigational data to improve operational effectiveness and increase situational awareness for UAE AFAD pilots and operations staff.

“We are pleased to team with Global Aerospace Logistics to provide our industry-leading Jeppesen MilPlanner and Operations Solution to power the air mobility and tanker operations of the UAE Air Force and Air Defence,” said Gardiner Porter, director, Jeppesen Military Aviation. “We work to simplify the complex challenges confronting military aviation operations and reduce overall workload to enhance focus on the mission at hand.”
