Jeppesen and TUI Group to Enhance Airline Dispatch Training

Combined Jeppesen eAcademy and TUI Group Operation Centre (GOC) on the job training programs create new in-house learning option for dispatch operations

Jeppesen, a Boeing Company, has teamed with TUI Group, the European charter and scheduled airline service operator, to enhance dispatch operations and training through an integrated in-house program available for airlines and other operators. Together, Jeppesen’s eAcademy program streamlines recurrent dispatch training for operators, while on the job training programs from TUI GOC establishes a complete theory and practical learning environment that is ICAO and EASA-compliant.

“Deployment of the eAcademy program from Jeppesen provides an easy to use system for essential dispatch program learning and examination capabilities,” said Bernhard Chwalek, Manager Training and Reporting, TUI Group Operation Centre. “Combining the eAcademy program with our on the job training fully prepares dispatchers for the rigors of the job, by applying the latest practices and working knowledge in real-world scenarios.”

Jeppesen has partnered with Boeing Services Deutschland GmbH to form the courseware for Jeppesen eAcademy training programs. Boeing Services Deutschland GmbH is a leading provider of software programs for EASA-based aviation training.

The Jeppesen eAcademy training system combines training management system functionality with learning management system tools, providing a complete e-learning system for EASA centric aviation study. The program also has developed standards for controlled e-learning programs that are fully compliant with EASA regulatory guidance.

“Following the successful deployment of our eAcademy program with the TUI Group, we are now pleased to work together to help airlines achieve their operational goals related to efficient dispatch training operations and skill development,” said Norman Wagner, director, Jeppesen Strategic Sales & Services – Commercial Aviation Europe. “Further, our complete dispatch training programs are hosted on our servers, which eliminates the need for operators to invest in additional IT infrastructure and further streamlines training operations.”

On the job training programs from TUI GOC help to further classroom learning by applying newly acquired knowledge in live airline operations control and dispatch environments, in compliance with applicable regulations and operator policies. The addition of on the job training from TUI GOC now allows Jeppesen to offer a complete dispatch training solution for the commercial aviation and training market.

The Jeppesen eAcademy program is also used with leading flight schools and universities to provide a customized, modular approach for pilot training, examination and certification, using multiple delivery platforms.
