Pre Loaded Jeppesen Digital Data to be Delivered with the Purchase of New Tecnam Aircraft

Pilots will be ready to fly with customized data at the time of delivery

Englewood, Colo. | 17 May 2017 | By Jeppesen

Jeppesen, a Boeing Company, and Tecnam, a leading manufacturer of general aviation aircraft, have signed an agreement to provide Jeppesen NavData® and digital charts as part of the purchase process of new Tecnam aircraft. The pre-loaded data from Jeppesen will be selected by the owner/operator of the airplane to meet their individual flying needs.

“We always seek methods to deliver added value when purchasing our aircraft, and having Jeppesen NavData and charts already loaded at the time of delivery allows our customers to take the skies immediately,” said Walter Da Costa, Global Sales & Marketing director, Tecnam. “This truly is a turn-key service that adds a personal touch and a high level of service provided for those to purchase new Tecnam aircraft.”

In addition to Jeppesen navigation data, Tecnam aircraft equipped with Garmin G1000 avionics will receive a PilotPak data bundle that also includes supplemental databases, including obstacle, terrain, SafeTaxi and airport diagrams.

“This strategic alliance with Tecnam truly simplifies the aircraft purchase process, by eliminating the requirement for customers to go through the data purchase process on their own,” said Reggie Arsenault, director, Jeppesen General Aviation Client Management. “New Tecnam aircraft owners can rest assured that they will be able to fly immediately, with trusted Jeppesen charts and data to guide them safely and efficiently to their destinations.”

Jeppesen NavData is developed from a comprehensive aviation database, which is composed of more than one million records. To ensure accuracy, Jeppesen flight information analysts edit and verify approximately 150,000 database transactions generated from worldwide aviation data source documents during every 28-day revision cycle.

TECNAM’s roots go all the way back to the Italian brothers Luigi and Giovanni Pascale who began to develop and produce innovative aircraft soon after the end of WWII. Since those early beginnings, the family has continued to create original models, first gaining worldwide recognition under the name Partenavia, which translates as ” Naples Aviation”. Costruzioni Aeronautiche TECNAM was established in March 1986 and now operates in three production facilities. The Casoria facility is located adjacent to Naples’ Capodichino Airport while the main factory is next to the “Oreste Salomone” Airport in Capua. Recently a new facility was established in Sebring, Florida, USA to serve and support the needs of Tecnam’s North American-based owners and operators.
